Minutes of meeting of October 7, 2014 held at the Japanese Cultural Centre with 52 members in attendance.
Meeting called to order by President Myron Wizniak at 12:10K. Invocation: George. Wilmot.
Minutes of the previous meeting circulated to the membership, Motion by B. Clark Seconded by B. Worsfold. Motion carried.
Myron W. Looking after printing of Xmas tickets and getting the letter of request to the business community regards to our need for door prizes.
Election of our officers for the coming year will take place at the November meeting. Don’t be bashful all positions are available.
Election for a Director of CNPA: Kamloops voted for S. Poeppel as a Director of the CNPA.
There will be a reduction of 5% in the premiums cost to BC participants for the coming year due to an overcharge by Blue Cross. Sig can explain this issue to the membership again.
Blue Cross has advised it will cover the cost of generic drugs (ONLY) requests for brand name drugs will not be covered. Loraine Barosso explained to the members that the different fillers used in drugs makes the difference in costs. Any member having an issue with their drug prescriptions should talk to their doctor or pharmacist.
Should you wish to make a change to the options of your Blue Cross you must do this by January 1, 2015.
