CN Pensioners meeting held on October 6, 2015 at the Japanese Cultural centre with 62 members in attendance.
Meeting called to order at 12:45 by President Myron Wizniak. Grace by Myron Wizniak.
Motion by Tony Duhaime Seconded by Bud Clark, that the minutes be accepted as circulated. Motion carried.
Blake Olsen report on Blue Cross: upcoming changes to plan, options A, B, C, and D. the information is attached along with the scholarship winners in our region.
CN Passes: If the holder of a CN Pass remarries the new spouse is eligible for pass use.
A letter received from a lawyer representing employees whom feel they had received bad advice from financial advisors when taking the 54/11 buyouts. The CN Pensioners Association is not involved and offers no advice.
The CN Pension fund value is over 17 billion with a return at just over 10% representing over 37,000 members.
Hubert Plante along with CN Police Mark Chupik attended a presentation at Westmount School regarding safety around railway tracks. CN’s / City of Kamloops tree planting in the community was a washout due to the heavy rain.
Moved by Danny Nikolic seconded by Sig Poeppel that the treasurer’s report be accepted as presented.

Election for Mountain Region Representative and Mountain Region Alternate.
Stanley Tash nominated for position Mountain Region Representative, Tony Duhaime nominated for position of Mountain Region Alternate. Both Stan and Tony are nominated by Hubert Plante. Both allowed to have their names stand for the two positions.
The Xmas dinner is booked at the Dunes for December 3rd. Cost of ticket as follows: Members $20.00 each, non members $30.00 each.
Election of officers for the Kamloops Chapter to take place at the November meeting, all positions are open.
