Rail Safety Week 2015
Take the CN Rail Safety Pledge and Help Spread the Word!

Dear CN Colleagues,

Rail Safety Week 2015 is around the corner and CN will once again raise public awareness to help prevent injuries and fatalities caused by unsafe behaviour around railroad crossings and by trespassing on railroad property.

All year, but even more so during Rail Safety Week, CN’s Security Team comes out in full force in partnership with Operation Lifesaver, conducting safety initiatives at commuter stations and railroad crossings across North America. But we need your help because education about rail crossing safety and the dangers of trespassing is everyone’s responsibility.

Taking the CN Rail Safety Pledge is the first step to set the right example for your friends and family and promise to report any unsafe situation you witness on railroad property to CN Police.

I encourage you all as well as your family members to take the Rail Safety pledge. When you get involved and share information in schools and in the communities we serve, you promote respect for trains and tracks – and that helps save lives.

Take the CN Safety Pledge and Help Spread the Word
In 2014, thousands of you took the Rail Safety Pledge.

This year again, there are two easy ways to participate:

· Take the pledge in person at any of the 10 CN Rail Safety Week kick-off events hosted on April 27th across our network! Check the locations in the attached document and bring your colleagues to take the pledge with you, learn about rail safety and enjoy free snacks and beverages.

· Starting April 27, you and your family can also pledge online at

The pledge is open all year long but if you participate during Rail Safety Week, between April 27 and May 4, 2015, you will get a chance to win great prizes!

Working together to help keep our communities safe.

Thank you,

Stephen Covey
Chief of Police and Chief Security Officer
